Alice Cooper
Alice's Attic Tour
2025
Alice Cooper’s Attic Tour is a full-throttle rock and roll celebration of all things Cooper—darkly theatrical, wildly entertaining, and packed with iconic moments. The Playground was asked by the legendary rock god himself to conceptualize a fresh new show that could serve as the perfect vehicle for a setlist of mega hits that hadn’t been pulled out of the attic in ages.
The goal was to create a production that felt both classic and newly electrifying, honoring the legacy of Alice Cooper while giving the material a bold modern presentation. The result is a larger-than-life rock extravaganza filled with dramatic visuals, striking stagecraft, and signature shock-rock flair, delivering a night of pure spectacle that thrills longtime devotees and wins over a new generation of fans.
“The production is a relentless, fully committed theatrical spectacle…”

How we got there
Alice Cooper's Attic was the perfect playground to theme this new show around, and the team began dreaming about how to make the cutting-edge yet nostalgic experience come to life.
The concept of the design was to create a haunted attic stage set tailored to Alice, featuring some of his most notable trademarks and icons, and then build it out in a virtual scenic extension as well. Creating fun interactive video elements, such as content smoke that would emit from the top of the practical set and roll down off the band risers as well as giant cobwebs that would stretch from the virtual background and appear to attach to the practical set would help blur the line between what was real and what was content while featuring the massive 20’ x 40’ upstage LED video wall.
On the practical scenic side of the design, we knew we wanted to feature Alice and the band's physical performance style. We designed a series of band risers at different heights that incorporated giant book and steamer trunk fascias for the band to play on, which motivated performance movements and helped build out the haunted attic aesthetic.
The set also included four towers of giant book pages that flanked the stage, featuring Alice's hand-written song lyrics as well as his iconic album covers. The Downstage and Upstage sets of towers tapered in height, really accentuating the perspective and giving the show a lot of visual depth.
The marriage of virtual and practical scenic design developed a new level of fun, creative performance for the Legendary Rocker and helped blur the line between reality...and Nightmare.

“It was a homecoming wrapped inside the chaos of his “Alice’s Attic” tour, a production built on both spectacle and deep-cuts rarely performed.”
