Karol G presented a stage design for 2024 Rock n Rio that married bold, feminine, reggaeton flair and rock n roll aesthetic. The stage featured pink satin curtains framing the setup, adding a soft, glamorous touch that contrasted beautifully with the industrial edge of exposed scaffolding and stacked guitar cabinets. This juxtaposition created a visual statement—blending the world of Latin pop with the raw spirit of rock and roll.

How we got there
Trevor and Sooner created a world painted in soft, pink fabric across the large festival stage per Karol G's vision. Band risers constructed of scaffolding with guitar and bass amps peppered throughout sat in the stage left and stage right wings. They worked closely to create the artist's vision and constantly renewed the look throughout pre production and rehearsals.
Fragment 9 brought incredible, virtual, scenic extensions to the performance with dynamic lighting scenes that could be altered via the lighting console. The intense LED video screens were softened considerable by the pink fabric, creating an intense world of color and light.
One of the most memorable features was the "B" stage located at the end of a central thrust. It featured a rain effect for Karol G and her dancers to perform within. Karol G danced through cascading water, and jets sprayed into the audience, making the performance feel alive with the elements.
The team worked to separate several moments featuring several guest appearances throughout the night. Special guests Orianthi joined her in an electrifying guitar powered intro while Pabllo Vittar, Sevdaliza, and Yseult joined her on stage for “Alibi.” That particular moment brought diversity, power, and celebration to the set—further amplified by the festival's electric crowd.
