Chris Stapleton
All-American Road Show
2025
Chris Stapleton's All American Road show launched in the spring of 2025 with a lighting design brought to audiences by collective members Tony Caporale and Sooner Routhier. The team worked with Bruce Rogers of Tribe Design to create a dynamic, kinetc design programmed in an understated, elegant manner.
The entire stage resembled a large jukebox complete with rosewood and gold embellishments. Tribe Design's set allowed Tony and Sooner to create a warm, inviting environment on stage with tungsten lighting accents.
"...delivering a show that can only be described as raw, soulful, and unforgettable. From blistering guitar solos to hushed, emotional ballads shared with his wife Morgane, the night felt like a masterclass in live performance."

How we got there
Tony and Sooner worked together to create a lighting design in a shortened timeline for the All American Road Show tour. The request was to add a dynamic package of automated, white spheres housed within a "garage" of video. The creative and management team also requested lines of vintage light bulbs across the stage.
Video direction on the large screens was driven solely by complex camera work. Thus, Tony and Sooner had to work hard to ensure key lighting was top notch for beautiful, cinematic shots. The result featured shots of the stages architecture and vintage bulbs with "old school" fresnel lensing in the background.

"It’s not about larger-than-life light shows or special effects. It’s truly about celebrating country music. Nothing more, nothing less.”
